Blackbirds Hockey is based out of Northwest Indiana and uses Midwest Training and Ice as their home rink. Midwest and the Blackbirds offer multiple levels for youth hockey. This includes Learn to Skate, Little Blackhawks, Learn to Play (ADM), House Hockey in the NWHL, and A/AA Travel Hockey in the NIHL and CUHL. The Blackbirds staff, focus on creating a healthy atmosphere where our youth can compete competitively, while growing their skills and love of the game. Our mission is to setup our kids to grow both professionally in the game of hockey and personally in their lives both on the rink and off.

The new logo beat the other two options by a total vote of 57.2%. Rest assure we will never get rid of our original logo, we will move the current logo to our retro collection.  

We are excited to begin the planning, on how we will use the new logo in the future.. In the meantime, we will continue to use the current logo.

The Midwest Blackbirds are VERY PROUD to announce that the U16 Midgets have been accepted into the newly structured NAPHL Showcase Series for the 2023-2024 Season. This years showcase will be held in Manchester, NH, Blaine, MN, and Detroit, MI. Maximum Exposure for our players to Jr A and College Programs at both the ACHA and NCAA levels. Blackbird players will take advantage of unmatched exposure and development. IT'S GREAT TO BE A BLACKBIRD!
